Your preferences

Fantera saves seen title IDs and viewing preferences in local storage under fantera:prefs:v2. The theme is saved under fantera:theme. These values belong to this browser and are not an account synced across devices.

The fantera_prefs cookie sends the hide-watched preference and the most recent 500 seen IDs with requests to this site so the server can filter recommendations. It is refreshed when preferences are saved. The Seen page loads catalogue details for your saved IDs in batches. Search text entered into the Finder is sent to the server to resolve titles and suggestions.

Managing the saved information

Use the Seen page to remove individual marks. Clearing this site's cookies and local storage in your browser removes the saved preferences and theme. Clearing only the cookie while retaining local storage allows the site to recreate the cookie on your next visit.

Requests and external resources

Cloudflare serves the site and processes requests. Anime artwork is loaded from AniList's image service, and fonts may load from Google Fonts. Visiting the site therefore makes requests to those services, which receive the network information needed to deliver their resources. Their handling of those requests is governed by their own policies.

The application currently has no third-party analytics integration, account registration, or active newsletter subscription form. This does not mean that hosting and network services keep no operational logs. Links to other sites take you to services with their own practices.
